Pivy Bandit Deep Image Pack for NUX MG-50

Pivy Bandit is a tone pack inspired by the Peavey Bandit Supreme Teal Stripe preamp pedal, the pedal version of the classic solid state Bandit preamp, loved for its punchy, tight crunch and its surprisingly aggressive high gain channel. This pack is built on Choptones Deep Images, our captures of the original pedal for the NUX MG-50, paired with Choptones Custom IRs, so you get the genuine voice and feel of the real unit on your device.

How It Sounds

The clean side of the circuit is bright and direct, with a firm low end and a fast attack that keeps every note defined. Switch to the high gain channel and it turns into a tight, mid-forward distortion that chugs without getting muddy and cuts through a band mix with ease. It is a no-frills, rock and metal flavoured preamp that rewards a confident pick hand.

Each preset went through multiple sessions on the actual pedal, adjusting mic positions and cab pairings, listening for the difference between a setting that sounds impressive in isolation and one that actually works in a mix. They all sound like the same pedal, just from different angles.

What's in the Pack

The Deep Images cover the classic and the high gain Bandit preamp channels. The IRs were captured with Mesa RoadKing 4x12 and Marshall 1960 4x12 cabinets with Celestion V30 and G12M speakers, plus a Peavey 212-C 2x12 loaded with V30s, chosen per preset based on what each tone needed.

This pack is made for the NUX MG-50.

10 ready-to-play presets, built on 2 Choptones Deep Images and shaped with 8 Choptones Custom IRs. Load the Deep Images and the IRs on your device, then recall the presets.

Remember to set the gain and general volume knobs at your liking, according to your guitar and pick ups!
