Based on a Friedman JEL-50 Head, captured for Two Notes GENOME 2.0.
This is the brown sound. Rich harmonics, plenty of dynamics, and leads that sing without getting muddy. Back off the guitar volume and it cleans up, dig in and it roars. Good from saturated classic rock up to modern gain.
About the amp
The original is a hand wired American signature head with two channels, a hot rodded lead and a classic plexi. It takes boosts and overdrives really well, which is a big part of why players reach for it.
