During the profiling sessions, we pushed the amp to its limits — from the snarling OD2 tones to its smoother OD1 breakup and the clean channel’s surprising headroom. We also pushed the amp with killer boosts like the Ibanez TS9, MXR 5150 OD, and Mesa Grid Slammer to sculpt modern tones with clarity and aggression.
To bring the full character to life, we used a wide range of cabinets including Marshall 1960, 8412, Bogner 4x12s, and Mesa Boogie Roadking and Standard 2x12s — all loaded with combinations of Celestion V30s, G12T75s, and G12M. Microphones such as the SM57, MD421, M160, R121, SM7B, and e906 were blended with care to deliver realistic, mix-ready tones.
