Bogie Dual Recto 3CH EL34 - Giant Pack (142 profiles)
Seeking to recreate the sound of a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 3 Channels loaded with EL34 tubes

As we already said the Recto is, since 1991, the holy grail of metal and hard rock guitar styles. An amp with a great look, rugged construction and, most important of all, a great sound.
The version we are gonna reviewing is the first 3 channel 100 watt version, but modded with EL-34 in the power amp.
Nice metal ā€œdiamond plateā€ in the front of the amp, six metal knobs and 3 knobs for each channel. Solo and output knobs to adjust the master volume and the level of the solo volume.

With the EL-34ā€™s in the power amp the head have a darker sound, rock oriented but with the same bite of the classic recto sound.

The third channel obviously is the most distorted of the 3: real rich sound with great attitude for soloing in the modern mode.
In our opinion the El-34ā€™s give little flabby bass tones to the whole sound, but this is easy to fix that ā€œproblemā€ boosting the head with your favorite Overdrive pedal.
The second channel is the better one in our opinion. Sweet and sustained gain and tone that remember the famous Dual Rectifier 2 channel version.
This channel perfectly works in each one of the 3 mode, going from big distorted recto sound in the modern mode to the MkI oriented smooth tone of Raw/Vintage tones.
The first channel provides a real nice and playable clean tone. Full of harmonics and well textured you we be never annoyed to play it.

What can we say about one of the most important amps in the history?

Ā

Itā€™ s just amazing, and this EL-34 version gives you the possibility to explore new horizons in the Recto world.

Letā€™s take a look the our pack, born to give to every Kemper user a new sight on the Dual Rectifier world.

Using EL-34 in the final stage of the amp we had a darker sound than our beloved 6L6 version. All the profiling session was more rock oriented, even if you can easily find big metal tones on it as well.
