Introduction
Your Choptones Quad Cortex packs are delivered through Cortex Cloud (Neural DSP's cloud), not by USB cable. This short guide shows you exactly how to receive your presets and load them onto your Quad Cortex. The Neural Captures are already inside the presets, so they travel with them automatically. If your pack also uses Cabinet IRs, those are provided as a separate download from our website right after your purchase (note: not every pack needs IRs).Step 1 - Your Cortex Cloud account
1 - You most likely already have a Cortex Cloud account: it is the Neural DSP account you already use with your Quad Cortex. If you don't have one yet, create a free account and sign in at cloud.neuraldsp.com.
2 - Note down your Cortex Cloud username: we need it to send you the presets.
Step 2 - Follow Choptones on Cortex Cloud
Neural DSP only allows presets to be shared between users who follow each other. So:
1 - Go to cloud.neuraldsp.com and search for Choptones.
2 - Click Follow on our profile. We follow you back, so you become "friends" and we are able to share with you.
Without this step the sharing cannot go through.
Step 3 - Give us your Cortex Cloud username
When you buy a Quad Cortex pack, type your Cortex Cloud username in the dedicated field on the product page. If you forgot to add it, simply reply to your order confirmation email with your username.
Step 4 - We share your presets
Once you follow us and we have your username, we share the purchased presets to your account. They will appear in your Cortex Cloud, ready to download.
Step 5 - Download the presets onto your Quad Cortex
1 - On the device, open Settings and sign in to Cortex Cloud with your account.
2 - Open the Cloud on the device and find the Choptones pack shared with you.
3 - Download each preset directly to your unit (one tap per preset). The Neural Captures linked to each preset are downloaded automatically with it.
4 - Downloaded presets are saved in your active Setlist. You can create up to 10 User Setlists and choose where to store them.
Step 6 - Cabinet IRs (only if your pack includes them)
Some packs use Cabinet IRs, others don't. When IRs are included, they are not sent through Cortex Cloud: you download them from our website right after your purchase (the download link is in your order confirmation). Then load the IR files onto your Quad Cortex as usual.
