Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Download and Install the GT-1000 IR Loader
First, grab the GT-1000 IR Loader application from the Boss website, ensuring you choose the right version for your operating system.
Step 2: Connect the GT-1000 to Your Computer
Connect your Boss GT-1000 to your computer via a USB cable and power it on. Launch the GT-1000 IR Loader app to continue.
Step 3: Select MIDI Settings
In the GT-1000 IR Loader app, select "3 — GT-1000" for both MIDI Input and MIDI Output. This guarantees correct communication between the two.
Step 4: Load Patch onto the Boss GT-1000
Download the .zip file, then drag or copy the downloaded .zip file into a desktop folder. "Extract here" to obtain your Liveset file, which you can import to your Boss GT-1000. Remember, it's easy to preview tones and drag preferred presets into the user preset list within the BOSS Tone Studio.
Step 5: Load the IR onto the GT-1000
Click the "LOAD" button in the GT-1000 IR Loader app and choose the IR file to upload. Make sure your IR files are in .wav format. Give it a few minutes to process.
Step 6: Name and Store the IR
Under "IR Data," input a name for the IR to be stored on the GT-1000. Select a user slot where you want to keep the IR under the "Load To" option. Click "OK" to finish!
Step 7: Utilize IRs in Patches
For using the uploaded IR in a patch, go to the Master/Sub Output block. Switch "OUTPUT SELECT" mode to "Recording". You'll find the "SP Type" option on the next page, where you can choose the cabinet model, including your user-loaded IRs!
